Neiman
Marcus security guards struck by car in getaway
Written by Justin on March 28, 2008 at 6:18PM
- Two Neiman Marcus security
guards were hit by a car attempting to leave the premises with a $2,500
purse in hand. On March 10, after a Quincy woman was seen taking the
purse, the detectives followed her to a parking garage, where she
entered a car driven by a man from Hyde Park. When the guards tried to
get the purse back by opening the car's doors, the man put the car in
reverse, dragging one of the detectives.
- In the process of escaping, the
woman dropped the purse. While the car escaped, the guards got the
licence plate of the car, and the duo were arrested by Boston Police
shortly after.

Massachusetts' second Nordstrom opens in
Burlington
Written by Justin on March 28, 2008 at 5:59PM
- Nordstrom opened their second
Massachusetts store this morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Burlington Mall.
- The Burlington store opened on
the site of a former Filene's, and held many of the same pre-opening
events as the Natick store did last September. These events included a
grand opening gala earlier this week that raised over $160,000 for the
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Junior League of Boston, and the
Boston and Middlesex chapters of The Links, Incorporated. The
Burlington Mall Nordstrom has an espresso bar, as well as Blue Stove -
Nordstrom's newest restaurant concept.
- Before the year is out,
Nordstrom will have a third operation in Massachusetts - a Nordstrom
Rack outlet store is slated to open this fall at the Liberty Tree Mall
in Danvers.

Journal has more at http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/stories/2008/03/24/daily35.html.
